Online Poker Tournament Rules - Multi Table Tournaments
- Each online poker tournament will begin promptly at the scheduled time stated in the Tournament Lobby.
- According to the rules of Poker, seats are assigned at random. Seat changes are not permitted.
- The poker tournament ends when one player accumulates all the chips in play.
- If two or more players are eliminated on the same hand, the player with more chips at the beginning of the hand is placed higher. If players started the hands with an identical amount of chips, both players tie for that rank, and according to the rules of poker any prizes due to those players will be equally distributed between them.
- Vegas Poker 24/7 uses a "forward moving button" rule in its tournaments. According to this rule of poker, no player ever receives the button twice; at the completion of every hand, the button is moved counterclockwise to the small blind. The implication of this rule of poker is that when players are eliminated, there may be players who get a reprieve from one or both blinds. The forward moving button is common practice in online poker due to the technicalities involved in adjusting the blinds after players are eliminated. Since these are basically random occurrences, no player will receive any long-term advantage, and the rule of poker is necessarily fair for all players.
- When two players remain in an online poker tournament, the button will post the small blind, and act first on the opening round.
- Disconnects.
- By participating in a tournament, a player accepts the risk of Internet disconnection, due to the problems with the connection between their computer and the servers, lag or freeze or some other problem in the player's computer. Vegas Poker 24/7 does not accept any responsibility for a player disconnect except in the case of a server crash.
- If a player times out during a hand, whether connected or disconnected, the hand will be folded.
- If a player is not connected before a hand starts, he or she will be dealt cards, a blind or an ante will be posted if necessary, and then the hand will be folded automatically.
- Soft playing or chip dumping is grounds for disqualification from the tournament. Any unethical play may result in the termination of the offender's account.
- Each player will be allocated a time bank which allows the player extra time to make a decision. The time bank depletes as it is used throughout the tournament. If a player elects to use his or her time bank, other players at the table will be notified.
- As players are eliminated from the poker tournament, the software will balance tables to ensure all tables have an equal number of active players. The balancing of tables is done randomly and, although rare, may result in a player having to post several big blinds in a row. When nine players remain in a Texas Holdem or Omaha tournament or seven players remain in a 7 Card Stud tournament, all players are brought together at the "final table".
- Prizes will be awarded as stated on the Poker Tournament Lobby.
- In the event of a server crash, the hands in progress at every table will be restored by rolling back these hands. Each player's chip count will be reset to the amount at the beginning of the hand. In special circumstances, when it is impossible to restart a tournament after the crash, it will be cancelled and the unclaimed portion of the prize pool will be equally divided among all remaining players.
- Players and "railbirds" are expected to use the chat feature in a courteous manner.
- No discussion of a hand is allowed during that hand.
- Deals.
- If all remaining players in a tournament agree to split the prize money according to an agreed formula of their choosing, Vegas Poker 24/7 will accept this agreement and transfer the funds after notification by all parties to the agreement.
- It is the players' responsibility to determine total agreement. Chat records alone will not necessarily validate an agreement.
- Only players at the final table may deal for the money, and no deal is allowed that does not include all remaining players.
- Vegas Poker 24/7 will not participate in the deal making process, but will execute the agreement if the previous conditions are met.
- Late Registration. Currently Vegas Poker 24/7 does not offer late registration to tournaments.
- Un-registration. A player can un-register up to 15 minutes before the start of a tournament. Players who have won their seats through a satellite cannot un-register.
- In case of disputes, Vegas Poker 24/7 management decision will be final.

Online Poker Tournament Rules - Single Table Tournaments
- Any player is eligible to enter the single table poker tournament by posting the required buy in and entry fee before the start of each event.
- All Texas Holdem and Omaha poker tournaments start with exactly 9 players. All 7 card stud poker tournaments start with 7 players. Players are allowed to play in several tournaments at a time.
- Every poker tournament is played until one player has all the chips. Players may not acquire additional chips beyond the original buy in. Players are immediately eliminated from the poker tournaments once they lose all their chips.
- Vegas Poker 24/7 offer many different limits for single table tournaments, varying by game, with the prizes based on the amount of the buy in and final placement. Top 3 places will get paid according to the following schedule: 50% 1st place, 30% 2nd place, and 20% for 3rd place.
- There is no rake charged on any tournaments.
- Vegas Poker 24/7 is not a party to any wager and only serves to oversee the event and the wagers made among participants. All monies distributed are from the pool collected from the participants at the start of the event.
- For each standard poker tournament, all players will start with 1500 Tournament Chips. Tournament Chips have no monetary value.
- The limits, blinds and bets rise as the tournament progresses.
- Each single table tournament will start automatically once all players have been seated.
- At the start of the tournaments, each player is dealt one card face up. The player receiving the highest card gets the dealer button for the first hand. A tie in high card is broken by suits based on the following order: spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs.
- When only two players are remaining in Texas Holdem or Omaha poker tournaments, the small blind has the button and acts first before the flop. This rule is a standard heads-up (1-on-1) poker rule.
- Each betting round consists of one bet, and up to a maximum of three raises (four bets total).
- With only two players remaining in any hand, there is a maximum of five raises (six bets total).
- In Texas Holdem or Omaha poker tournaments, if a player who is the small blind is eliminated, the button does not move. This ensures the big blind is not missed by the next player in order. If a player who is the big blind is eliminated, the button moves and one player receives the benefit of not posting the big blind for that round. All players have an equal opportunity to benefit from this scenario.
- There will be no breaks. Single table tournaments continue straight through until one player has all the chips and is declared the winner.
- When a player loses all their chips, they are declared out of the tournament and finish in the order they were eliminated. Example: In a 9 player tournament, if you are the third player eliminated, you are declared as finishing in 7th place.
- If more than one player is eliminated in the same hand, the player with the most chips before the hand started finishes higher. In the case where both players also have the same amount of chips before the hand, both players will tie for the position. If there is a tie between two or more players, the prizes they qualify for are split evenly between all tied players. For example, if two players tie for 2nd place, each player receives 50% of the second place prize and 50% of the third place prize.
- Vegas Poker 24/7 will not assist in any deals among players during a single table tournament. Tournaments continue until there is one declared winner and the payoffs will be exactly according to the prize pay out structure.
- Each player should play with the same intensity against all other players. There should be no soft playing.
- All players will play with all their chips until either they lose all their chips or win the tournament.
- During play in any of the online poker tournaments, if a player loses their connection or their computer freezes, and they have All-In protection and also have chips at stake in the hand, they are declared All-In based on the All-In rules.
Every single hand and their blinds are posted automatically when it is their turn. Eventually the player is "blinded out" if they do not re-connect back to the online poker tournaments table.
- Intentionally going All-In is grounds for dismissal from any of the online poker tournaments and being banned from Vegas Poker 24/7.
