1) Now that I have joined, how do I select the online poker game I want to play?
In the Main Lobby, select the type of online poker game you would like to play by clicking on it. Appearing vertically below the game choice will be the list of available tables. Simply double-click on a table and you will be taken to the game.
2) What is the minimum buy-in?
The minimum buy-in at any Vegas Poker 24/7 table is ten times the amount of the lower betting limit in fixed games, and forty times the big blind in pot-limit and no-limit games. For example, the minimum buy-in for a $5/$10 fixed game is $50.00, and the minimum buy-in in $0.50/$1.00 Pot Limit game is $20.00.
3) Can I change seats at a table?
Yes you can. But when playing poker online, changing seats is not recommended. You are free to change seats if you wish, but you will be required to post the blinds again, just as if you were a new poker player. It is structured this way to keep players from changing seats to avoid paying blinds.
4) What does "game number" mean?
Every hand played is given a unique game number. This game number (also known as "hand number") can be used when requesting player hand histories or when there is a problem with a specific game and you would like to review a report. If there is ever a question or a problem with a particular game, note the game number and reference it when contacting us. If you missed the game number and the next game has already started, check under "Previous Game" at the top right corner of screen.
5) The online poker game I want to play in is full. What do I do?
You can add yourself to the waiting list. You will be able to see how many people are waiting for a seat at the table. When a seat comes available and your name is up, you will be notified and given the option of taking the seat.
If there are several people on the waiting list, we recommend taking a seat at a vacant table of the same limits and game, as these tables usually fill quite fast once a player sits down.
6) What happens when I run out of chips at a table?
To bring more chips to the table, simply click on the "Menu" button and select "Cashier".
7) What is your rake schedule?
Please see the rake page for a detailed look at our rake schedule.
8) How can I tell how much is in the pot?
The chips should be neatly stacked in the middle of the table and easy to identify. Also, you can move your cursor over the pot and the amount will be expressed directly above the chips.
9) How do I access my playing statistics? What information do I get?
For more information on statistics and other features click here.
10) How can I receive my hand history?
In the main lobby under the "menu" tab, select "Guest Relations" and choose "Hand History". Fill out the needed information and your requested hand history will be emailed to you automatically.
11) Can I put my own image on Vegas Poker 24/7?
Yes. In the Main Lobby under the "User" tab, select Change Image. Follow the step-by-step instructions and, in a short time, you will have your own personalized image.
12) What type of language is acceptable when using the chat?
We understand that many of our poker players reside in countries where English is not the official language. But, unfortunately, we must designate one language as the official language for the chat rooms. This is also necessary to ensure that the utmost integrity is maintained at our tables at all times.
All obscene or offensive language is prohibited from the chat. If a player cannot refrain from using abusive or obscene language, Vegas Poker 24/7 reserves the right to suspend or revoke their chat privileges as well as terminate their account.
We ask you to help us monitor the site. Please send all e-mails to regarding any and all questionable poker room activity.
13) What should I do if the game freezes or the Internet connection is lost?
This is normally caused by Internet conditions beyond our control. It is also difficult to diagnose the cause at times. Vegas Poker 24/7 has state-of-the-art software, which will attempt to re-connect and, ultimately, return players back to the same table where they were last seated. If you are in the middle of a hand that you have bet into and cannot return within the allotted time limit, the software is designed to put you All-in for that hand. Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose the cause of the interruption, but through our Hand History function, you will be able to refer back to what happened during the hand that was interrupted. In the case that your hand was the winning hand, you win the main pot of that game and it will show in your medallion.
14) What happens if the server crashes during the middle of a hand?
In the unlikely event of a server crash during a game, Vegas Poker 24/7 will restore all poker player accounts to what they were at the time of the interruption. If a player's last hand of play was completed, the player account will have been updated as individual player transactions are posted to accounts after completion of every hand.
15) If I am disconnected and fail to return in time, what happens to my hand?
In the rare case a real-money player cannot return in time to finish play, the hand will automatically be All-in. Each player will be given one all-in per day due to the unlikely case that the player is disconnected without being reestablished in time. If the player has already used their daily all-in and they do not return to the table in time, their hand will automatically be folded. Play-money tables offer an unlimited number of All-in plays.
