Private Poker Tournaments FAQ

   
 

1) How do I join private tournament groups?

From the main lobby, click the header TOURNAMENTS from the top menu options. Then, select "Join Private Tournament Group." Simply click the "sign up for membership" link after selecting the group you desire to join. Add any comments you would like and then click Submit. The captain of the group has the ability to email you based on his approval or refusal of your membership. If you do not receive an email notice, it is likely you were declined without notice.

2) How do I un-join private tournament groups?

From Join /View Groups page, Select the name of group that you would like to un-join. You can either click the group from "My Groups" or from by searching the name of your group. Now, you can simply un-join the group by simply clicking "Un-join Group" link.

3) Can I join a group that I haven't been invited to join?

While it is not recommended, you may request to join a group you were not invited to. However, it is up to the Captain of that private tourney group to approve or refuse your request. You may or may not be notified.

4) How many tournaments can I join?

You can join up to 5 tournament groups.

5) How do I know when the tourney I joined will play?

The captain/VIP of the tourney group can use an email feature to contact you or post comments on the bulletin board feature available from the menu options for Private Tournaments.

6) How am I eligible to make my own private tournaments?

You must be a VIP, a player who has achieved over 5,000 VIP Status Points. You will be notified if and when you achieve this benchmark. This benchmark is subject to change.

7) How do I make a private tournament?

If you have achieved VIP status, once you login from the main lobby a new button will appear that says "Create Private Tournament." Once you click this button you will see a pop up page and you may proceed by selecting the "Make Private Tournament." Simply enter a name for your group and select "Create." Once done, this will allow you to enter your desired tournament settings. Finally, click "MAKE" and your tournament will be in view under the PRIVATE tourney tab within a couple minutes.

8) What is the minimum and maximum buy in tourney on can create?

The minimum buy in is $1, and maximum buy in is $100.

9) If I create a tournament how long will it be available?

If you create a private tourney, it will be immediately in view under the PRIVATE tourney tab. It will be deleted if the tourney does not start within 72 hours. After the tourney is played it will begin a new 72 hour expiration period.

10) What if the tourney expires and players were registered?

They will be notified by a pop up message that the tourney as expired and that they will be refunded.

11) What if a tourney I create expires, do I need to create a new one?

Yes, if your tourney does not start within 72 hours, your tourney will expire in lobby view and be deleted. You will always be able to create and maintain up to one private tourney group.

12) If I create one private tourney group of my own, can I join 5 other private tourney groups?

Sorry, if you have created one of your own, you can only join 4 other groups for a total of 5 private tourney group memberships.

13) How do I get players to join my group?

While some members will request to join without being invited, you may invite anyone you'd like to join. If they are a real money player they will have the opportunity to join your private tourney group. Then, as captain of your private tourney groups you must either APPROVE or REFUSE those who requested to join. Simply select the "MEMBER REQUEST" link and proceed.

14) How do I let them know when the tourney will start?

Like all single table tourneys, the tourney will start once 9 players have registered. Please use our email and bulletin board feature to notify of tourney start times and dates along with any other details. Keep in mind, if the tourney does not start in 72 hours from when it was created, it will expire from lobby view and be deleted.

15) What if I want to change the settings for my previously created private tourneys?

You can not make edits to your already created tourneys. You must select the tourney you wish to change and select "Delete." It is recommend that you email members first by using the email feature. Once deleted, you can build a new tournament to replace the one you deleted or you can create at a later time.

16) As a captain of a private tourney group, can I delete members I previously approved?

Yes, by selecting "View the list of members" you can proceed to the next page by selecting the "del" buttons next the player's Nickname.

17) Can I delete all members of the private tourney group?

Yes, by selecting "Delete Group" you will delete all members of your group.
